Q: How does professional whitening differ from over-the-counter (OTC) products I can buy?
A: We use a higher concentrations of hydrogen or carbamide peroxide, custom-fit plastic trays heat and vacuum formed to fit a mould of your teeth. This means, faster whitening, a comfortable tray, less ingestion of the whitening gel and even whitening on your teeth. The whitening strips only cover the front six teeth and are made to fit "one-size-fits-most" teeth and do not account for teeth out of ideal alignment or size. OTC "boil and nould" yourself trays do not adapt to your teeth as well as custom fit professional trays, therefore, they are not as comfortable, the whitening is not even on your teeth. you ingest more gel and your saliva dilutes the gel in your trays. OTC paint-on whitening gel gets immediately diluted and does not whiten teeth effectively.
