Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How is oral cancer treated?
A: If it is determined with a biopsy that you have oral cancer, the treatment will depend on the type and extent of cancer diagnosed. Two percent of all deaths in the US are oral cancer related. Almost any cancer, when caught at an early stage, can be treated successfully. These treatments include: surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy.
Detecting oral cancer at earlier, more treatable, and curable stages will increase the likelihood one will survive the cancer.
